The Management Team
Grant Slater
Director Tribe Group
When he’s not fishing or wine tasting (or both), Grant is overseeing the Tribe.
“Fish without wine is like egg without salt” – Auguste Escoffier
Grant has a particular interest, and expertise, in ‘Business Owner Exit Solutions’ and ‘Employee Ownership Models’. However, he believed a whole-of-life financial management approach, was lacking in the industry. So, he assembled a team of specialists from complementary financial disciplines, and Tribe was born.
Grant’s approach is very engaging.
If you were to ask ‘the Tribe’ to describe a typical day for Grant, they’d probably say “he swans about having coffee with clients.” And that pretty much sums it up.
The fact is, Grant is never too busy for Tribe clients, he meets with them in their favourite coffee shop — wherever they’re most comfortable. Although these meetings are ‘off the clock’ and casual, many meaningful decisions have been made during these casual encounters.
Grant believes the business of business is relationship driven and, the business of life, is human connection.
Grants mantra is — relationships and human connection equals trust and credibility.
He is proud of the Tribe and is confident that with their expertise — in everything financial, you will achieve your goals.
Suzanne McIntosh
Director Tribe Group
When Suzanne’s not creating wealth for Tribe clients, she’s creating harmony on the farm.
“Horses do not care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
Suzanne is an advocate of lifestyle financial planning and excels at showing clients what their wealth means both now and in the future. She helps clients enjoy the lifestyle they desire, with the secure knowledge that financial independence is attainable.
Suzanne leverages her extensive expertise in accountancy, tax, and self-managed superannuation to build the foundations of financial planning. Her focus is on developing clear, personalised, and realistic strategies that enable Tribe clients to achieve their goals and objectives.
She looks at financial planning as a way of liberating her clients; giving them the opportunity to pursue their broader goals, interests and passions. She takes a responsible approach to investing and encourages clients to embrace and prioritise their future.
Suzanne believes that hard work, honesty and having pride in what she does, is why her clients trust her. Her healthy and realistic approach makes her a beacon, in the often confusing world of Financial Planning. Suzanne’s approach is refreshingly open and progressive — easily digestible by all ages!
Tony Jin
Chief Advisor Tax and Accounting
Tony knows everything there is to know about taxation and accountancy, and he also ‘nose’ a really good whisky.
“The water was not fit to drink. To make it palatable, we had to add whisky. By diligent effort, I learned to like it.” – Winston Churchill
Because he is a purist — in his taste for Whisky — and his refreshingly down-to-earth, yet thorough approach to taxation and accounting, Tony is a financial life saver.
In Tony’s world tax and accountancy are not just about numbers, they’re solutions to business problems. His straightforward, non-stuffy approach is founded on Tribe’s ethos of offering ‘excellence’ as standard practice.
Tony calls on his professional qualifications, and decades of experience, to assist clients achieve their short, medium, and long-term objectives; while ensuring they meet all of their financial obligations. He provides calm and thoughtful solutions, in a way that’s easy to understand.
You can count on Tony being there through all the ups and downs — evidenced by his unwavering support of the South Sydney Rabbitohs!
Beth Hinds
Cert IV Bookkeeping, BAS Agent
Manager, Tribe Bookkeeping and BAS
When Beth is not balancing books and BAS, she’s balancing a soccer ball somewhere!
“Making good judgments when one has complete data, facts, and knowledge is not leadership – it’s bookkeeping” Dee Hock (Visa Credit Card founder)
Beth dipped her toes into many different sports growing up however, none truly stuck with her as much as soccer did. She loves that she can easily balance her sport and her job, that she loves almost as much as soccer.
With over 15 years bookkeeping experience, Beth manages a progressive team of bookkeepers and BAS agents. Her passion (apart from soccer) is working with small and medium businesses, assisting with all that paperwork stopping clients from focussing on their business.
Beth and her husband own a small business, so she understands more than most, the real issues faced by small businesses every day. A particular focus for Beth is limiting the stress that tax requirements have on her clients.
